On March 2, 2016 the Google Experts Program accepted me as a Technology/Android expert. I feel incredibly grateful, excited, and lucky to now be a GDE. Throughout my Android life, I have relied on the contributions of GDEs to help me fix weird and nasty bugs, discover the new and sexy, learn good/best practices, and understand the inner workings of the framework.

I can only hope that I can help other devs even half as much as the GDEs have helped me.

Randomly Updating/Announcing: Fall 2015

After a (relative) flurry of activity in the summer, I dropped the Blog-Ball during the last few months. To break the bad streak of blog barrenness, here is a quick-as-I-can-but-not-that-quick update on the last few months for Randomly Typing.

We Launched an Android YouTube Channel

Chiu-Ki Chan and I just launched a YouTube channel called Android Dialogs where we have bite-sized conversations with people in the Android community: developers, designers, anyone that works in and cares about Android.

We actually recorded lots of interviews already and quite a few at Google I/O so stayed tuned for those. Please check it out and subscribe.
